There are now just ten days left for people across West Northamptonshire to give their views on the new draft Local Plan, and residents are being urged not to miss their chance to help shape the future of the area.
So far, over 2,000 responses have been submitted as part of the consultation, with community events across the area also drawing strong attendance from residents keen to learn more and share their feedback.
The draft Local Plan will guide the future growth of West Northamptonshire up to 2043, setting out the strategy for new homes, jobs, infrastructure, and land use. It also includes policies on protecting the environment, supporting the local economy, and shaping the places where we live, work, and spend time.
Residents, businesses and community groups are encouraged to review the proposals and submit their comments before the consultation closes on Friday 27 March 2026.
Cllr Thomas Manning, Cabinet Member for Planning at West Northamptonshire Council, said: “It is encouraging that we have received more than 2,000 responses so far, and we want to thank everyone who has taken the time to share their views. The Local Plan will affect every community in West Northants, so it’s important that as many people as possible take part before the deadline. Your feedback will help us ensure that future growth is wellplanned, sustainable and reflects what matters most to local people.”
Residents can find all consultation documents, supporting information, and the online response form on our website.
Printed copies are also available to view at local libraries and council offices.
